Center facade parapet crack jumps windows from top
Looks like the center facade crack at the parapet jumps the windows heading down and reappears here. What's going on? Alan (Alan Jones, owner)

1. Alan, this looks like building settling. Most of the mortar repairs are in tact. Since no one in living memory can recall the last mortar repairs these are certainly at least 30 years old maybe 50. The darker gray mortar used to match the pollution stained stones due to the steel mills and coke ovens makes it east to trace modern repairs and document their condition. Since these repairs are in good condition and are probably 30 to 50 years old the settling is not active. It likely occurred shortly after the building was built. I will recommend a standard repair with the something a little softer than the Rosendale cement originally used on the building. (Mark Lawrence, forensic investigator)
2.OK. Thanks, Alan. (Alan Jones, owner)
